![]() I am able to join parties, hear my friends with no issues, play online games as smooth as can be. HOWEVER, my internet still works great and is fast and reliable (I predominantly use an ethernet connection but I have had the issue on both wired/wifi). 80% of the time when I boot up my console from rest mode, certain images don't load, I can't access social stuff like sharing clips/screenshots, my friends names don't show up in the party (they show up something like "name%." with a grayed out photo), my online status says "unknown", and with certain things I get a "can't load content" error. I recently moved and got gigabit internet with Xfinity, and it works great, but I've noticed some things specifically with my PS5 (nothing else in the apartment). I've had this new issue with my PS5 and it's really difficult to tell if this is a network issue or a console issue and was curious if anybody here had any insight. It’s definitely not convenient and not even always reliable, but it’s the quickest way to solve it that I can find atm. And when you turn on your console and have the issue, navigate to the DNS settings and toggle it back and forth from manual to auto (make sure to apply the changes each time). ![]() ![]() UPDATE: So, I haven’t found a real solution yet unfortunately, but something I found that resolves the problem fairly quickly 90% of the time for me is changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
